Section 1: The Revelation

Anchor: Eyuun's volcano home. History crashes down.

Beats

  1. "The test was the journey." Eyuun acknowledges they proved themselves by arriving.
  2. Eyuun reveals the Aeterna (Soul Well) — a machine that catches souls.
  3. The Council of 8 — how the mere idea of immortality broke them.
  4. How much has been buried. How the rest will be burned away if nothing is done.
  5. Kael overwhelmed: "What am I supposed to do about this?"
  6. Eyuun: "How you are now... nothing."
  7. But he aims to change that — training begins.

Section 2: Training Month

Anchor: One month. Foundation built.

Beats

  1. Barrier training begins — prerequisite for real mana warfare.
  2. Kael and Veyra learn together. By month's end: both sustaining Barrier for ~10 minutes.
  3. [MEANWHILE] Sam at Shoalhaven, honing offensive techniques. Pushes to depletion multiple times.
  4. She asks Eyuun to send word when they return.
  5. Eyuun's instruction to Kael and Veyra: Travel to Rune Hold. Answers await.

Section 3: The Reunion

Anchor: Pier at Shoalhaven. Party of three.

  1. Kael and Veyra return to Shoalhaven pier from Veradyn.
  2. Sam waiting with a heartfelt plea to join them.
  3. Kael couldn't care less — tells her as much.
  4. Veyra: "Fine, you can come."
  5. Party of three formed.

Section 4: The Road West

Anchor: Millbrook. News of raids. The calm before.

Beats

  1. They discuss what Eyuun told them — the weight of it.
  2. Agree Millbrook is a good pit stop on the way to Rune Hold.
  3. Arrive at Millbrook. Hear about Citadel raids happening in Ashfeld.
  4. Spend the night at an inn. Rest before the road.

Section 5: The Gauntlet

Anchor: Road to Rune Hold. Combat forges the team.

Beats

  1. Morning. They set out on the road to Rune Hold.
  2. Run into a 3-man Citadel squad — raiders from the nearby village operations.
  3. Fight. Win. Keep moving.
  4. Another squad. And another. The raids are everywhere.
  5. Like a well-oiled machine, the three take out guards one after another.
  6. Kael getting the hang of his prototype — Static + Lightning singing.
  7. What feels like an eternity of battles.

Section 6: Rune Hold

Anchor: Arrival. The wall.

Beats

  1. They reach Rune Hold, exhausted but hardened.
  2. Learn the town is run by Lazerin's Elite Guard.
  3. The Elite Guard are holed up at the tavern and local inns — no regular soldiers, real killers.
  4. END CHAPTER.
